Volunteer Engagement and Employment
Parent involvement is a requirement for those enrolled at Mosaic Academy. We are a small learning community who are interdependent on each other for success in our educational endeavors. We as a staff partner with you in the education of your children and we need your help and input.
This isn’t a place where you merely drop your students off for the day—your gifts and talents are valued and necessary at our school. There is so much we can do together!
Volunteer Opportunities
The success of our school relies on our partnership with our parents! Below are examples of ways you can join us this school year! Please email your field of interest to our Director of Communications, Hannah Gentry, at hgentry@mosaicacademy.org.
On-Campus Helpers: We need parents in the classrooms, as needed, helping with Pizza Days, special projects, class parties, and more. You may even step off campus occasionally, where we could use your help on our Class Field Trips! We need parents with artistic abilities to help us decorate our hallways, organize bulletin boards, or extra hands to support successful theme days such as holidays and book fairs.
Heavy Lifters: This is for anyone that doesn’t mind getting their hands a little dirty. We need support in painting, mulching our play yards, moving large pieces of furniture, construction and electrical work.
Tech Team: This is for anyone with experience or passion for sound systems, slides, computers, or anything related.
School-wide Family Volunteer Work Day
We have two school-wide work family volunteer days per year. One in August and one in the Spring where we ask parents to come up to the school for a school-wide family volunteer work day. We complete necessary building projects, update classrooms as needed, paint, etc… It is very necessary to the upkeep of our school and we ask all families to participate with us as we grow our school. We need dads especially involved year to year, as much of the work is heavy lifting, construction, and electrical work.
Mosaic Academy Fundraising
As a private school, we rely heavily on the generosity of others in order to provide excellent educational programs for our school. To maintain our reasonable tuition costs, we must raise funds from other sources during the school year. We do accept donations from businesses, and others. We need parents to help us approach area businesses about partnering with us on a consistent basis.
Spring Festival/Silent Auction: Community-wide Spring Festival/Silent Auction! We ask parents to help us collect donations for us to auction. This has been a major fundraiser for the school in previous years and we look forward to next year’s event.
Equal Exchange: Winter fundraiser – we receive 40% from every fair trade purchase.
Book Fair: For every book you purchase, we earn books & dollars for our school!
Love Your School Bake Sales: Held Monthly – Classroom fundraiser. All proceeds go to your child’s classroom needs!
Pop-Up Fundraisers: TBA: Be on the look out for additional ways to get involved!
Continuous Fundraising
Here are some programs that are automatic revenue streams for the school—all it takes is a moment of your time to sign up and a portion of your purchase is automatically donated to the school—very little effort required to make use of money already spent!
Box Tops for Education: Bring your box tops to school – last year we earned over $100!
Smile.Amazon.com: Set your amazon account to gain access through smile.amazon, and designate Mosaic Academy as a donor – a percentage of every expenditure will be donated to the school! EASY!
Printer cartridges/toner cartridges: The school receives between $2 and $4 for every cartridge that we turn in for recycling – an easy way to keep us in copy paper and tape for the year! All cartridges welcome!
Giverly: Find us on the Giverly app and do all of your online shopping through the app. We will get a small percentage of every dollar you spend!
Sponsorship Program
Mosaic Academy’s Sponsorship Program provides area businesses the opportunity to support all aspects of the school’s events, programs, and educational growth, while offering marketing access to the Mosaic Academy community.
Our generous sponsors demonstrate their support for students and education in the Mosaic Academy Fort Worth community. They help ensure that the young people attending Mosaic Academy have the opportunity for a Christ-centered education; the unique, active learning based classrooms and parent-instructor partnership that enables the family to thrive on their educational journey in a home-school setting and at school.
